The overarching objective of Mandela Day is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better, and in doing so build a global movement for good. Ultimately it seeks to empower communities everywhere. "Take Action; Inspire Change; Make Every Day a Mandela Day." We at Imbali decided to adhere to the ethical framework of "service to one's fellow human" and sought to encourage others to join us in support of the Kylemore Community and were hugely encouraged by the good that people do.

Taryn Smith and some of the staff from Delaire Graff and Spa took a little time out of their day to entertain the little tots in the Frank's Heaven Crèche and the Mirja Sachs Infant Care Centre with face painting and games, as well as a dance class, and brought them a nutritious meal. She also found sponsorship for shoes for some of the cold little toes that seemed to be peeping out of summer sandals and other inappropriate foot wear!

Tracey McGregor and Brent Rossouw (of Dare to Share) and Thaamir Moerat (of delivered 4 laptops and 4 desktop computers to Deputy Principal, Tertia Jefthas, and Hubert February, educators at Kylemore High School so that they can assist their learners to become more tech-literate in their maths studies, especially those students who will be going into tertiary studies next year! Tracey sits on the board of "Dare to Share" where their aim is to help whoever they can, and with a very generous donation from Group 5, and Repo Copier SA they managed to get these computers donated to this very worthwhile cause.
